Baggage Policy
Air India has a baggage policy that outlines the maximum size and weight allowances for checked and carry-on Baggage, as well as any additional fees that may apply. Air India's baggage policy is designed to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of passengers and their belongings. Therefore, following the size and weight allowances and additional regulations can provide a smooth travel experience with Air India.
Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Policy
Air India allows its passengers to carry one piece of hand baggage on board, along with a personal item such as a laptop bag, handbag, or briefcase. The maximum weight of the hand baggage should not exceed 8 kg, and its dimensions should not exceed 55cm x 35cm x 25cm (length x width x height). In addition, the personal item should be smaller in size than the hand baggage and should be able to fit under the seat in front of you.
NOTE: Bulkhead seats lack under-seat storage, so all carry-on and cabin luggage must be stored in the overhead compartment during takeoff and landing.
Checked baggage
Checked baggage allowance is applicable for all Air India flights. In addition to the note, the passengers can carry a maximum of 40 kgs in first class, 35 kg, and 25 kgs in business and economy class.
