Air New Zealand Baggage Policy
Air New Zealand's baggage policy is designed to provide passengers with a hassle-free travel experience, with clear guidelines on the number, size, and weight of bags allowed on board.
Carry-on/Cabin Baggage Policy
Air New Zealand allows one carry-on with a small personal item if you're traveling in the economy class fare. But, if you have reservations in another class than the economy, they give a carry-on allowance of 2 bags plus one personal item.
Economy: one piece, max. 7 kg/ 15 lbs, plus one personal item. Business Class and Premium Economy: two pieces, max. 14 kg/ 30 lbs (no one thing may exceed 10 kg/ 22 lbs), plus a personal thing. Max. Total dimensions: 118 cm/ 46.5 in.
NOTE: Bulkhead seats lack under-seat storage, so all carry-on and cabin luggage must be stored in the overhead compartment during takeoff and landing.
Checked Baggage
The number and weight of checked bags allowed depend on the class of travel and the destination. Passengers can check-in up to three bags, with weight and size restrictions as follows:
- Economy Class: 1 to 2 bags up to 23kg each, depending on the destination
- Premium Economy Class: 2 bags up to 23kg each
- Business Class: 3 bags up to 23kg each
