On all domestic and international flights (except those to Long Island, Acklins, Crooked Island, Mayaguana, and Inagua), each passenger is permitted one (1) personal item and one (1) carry-on bag.

Bahamasair allows passengers to carry their sports equipment on their next adventure. The items permitted on board are as follows-
- Bicycles: $125.00
The bicycles must be carried in a padded case and packed in plastic foam or cardboard box or similar material to prevent damage. - Surfboard
This is treated as checked baggage; it must meet the baggage allowance. In addition, passengers must pack the surfboards in hard cases to prevent any damage to the equipment. - Windsurf Board
This is treated as checked baggage; the equipment must meet the baggage allowance. Passengers need to pack the gear properly to prevent any damage. - Kite surfboard
This is also treated as checked baggage; the payment must meet the baggage allowance. Passengers need to pack the equipment to prevent damage to the equipment properly. - Archery equipment, bowling balls, camping equipment, fishing gear, golf clubs, scuba gear, skateboard, sleeping bag/tent, tennis rackets, backpack, boogie/speed boards – all fall under checked baggage, and equipment must not way over 99lbs.
- Shooting equipment
This equipment is treated as checked baggage; items must not be way over 99 lbs. If the equipment is packed in a soft case, it will not be accepted for carriage. Ammunition needs to be under 11 lbs weight. In addition, passengers must carry a firearm license.
