Baggage allowance 

Carry-on baggage 

Volotea permits passengers to carry one piece of cabin baggage as well as a small hand bag. The baggage combined can weigh a maximum of 10kg. Furthermore, the cabin baggage can be of maximum 50 x 40 x 20cm dimension for all passengers. In addition, the hand bag can be of maximum 35 x 20 x 20cm dimensions. Most importantly, the cabin bag will only be allowed if priority boarding is included in the fare. Otherwise the baggage will be checked in free of charge. Lastly, in case the baggage exceeds 10kg weight, then a €60 per item is charged per joinery. 

Checked baggage 

Volotea permits passengers to carry up to 5 bags of maximum 50kg weight. Moreover, passengers can add extra baggage up to 2.5 hours prior to the departure of the flight. However, it is important that the passengers remember that prices for extra baggage may vary depending on the destination, season, etc. Refer to the table below for additional baggage fares:

Special Baggage

Volotea allows passengers to bring special equipment. For instance sports equipment and musical equipment. Some of the sports equipment include windsurf boards, bicycles, surfboards, gold bags, snowboards, etc. Lastly, only 32kg of special baggage is allowed. 

Prohibited items

Some of the items that are prohibited on-board are the following:

• Firearms 
• Blunt objects
• Sharp objects
• Compressed gasses 
• Lithium batteries 
• Chemical or toxic substances 
• Other weapons
• Tools
• Liquids
• Corrosives
• Flammable substances 
• Radioactive material
